The Story Behind Les Arches Cuvée

Following the launch of its own craft beer, InterContinental Lyon – Hotel Dieu continues its commitment to local partnerships with the creation of its very own red wine cuvée. This initiative reflects the hotel’s desire to showcase unique products crafted in collaboration with passionate local artisans.

Les Arches Cuvée is the result of a meticulous collaboration between InterContinental Lyon – Hotel Dieu and Chai Saint Olive, Lyon’s first urban winery. Together, we combined our expertise and shared passion for excellence to create an authentic wine that celebrates both our savoir-faire and the richness of the local terroir.

The Creation of Les Arches Cuvée

Imagined and created by the teams of InterContinental Lyon – Hotel Dieu, Les Arches Cuvée is a harmonious blend of Gamay, Syrah and Viognier grapes. This bold combination gives the wine remarkable complexity and a subtle balance between freshness and generosity.

From the very first aromas, it delights with an expressive bouquet of ripe raspberry and cherry notes. On the palate, the wine opens with a smooth, silky texture before developing a beautiful roundness, supported by delicate tannins and a subtle hint of spice brought by the Syrah. The Viognier adds elegant floral notes and vibrant freshness, leading to a refined and delicately fruity finish.
